yarnalong_gsheller_grayIt's Yarn Along again. Time to see what knitters are knitting and reading all around the interwebs. It's a great way to find new knitting blogs and get people to find yours too!! Click here to read all of our old yarn along posts. We've been doing this a while and you can see our progress on our knitting for almost the past year!

This week we're looking at the pathetic super swatch I did that was supposed to be the upper right back of the Dahlia Cardigan, but I knit a ribed stitch instead of a seed stitch on the edge so all of my vacation knitting was for naught. :( I have to rip out and re-knit this thing because I don't have a lot of extra yarn to spare here. I suppose I could go on an epic fix, dropping down each stitch on this edge and using a crochet hook to rework the stitches the way they're supposed to go, but that seems kind of silly. I'm wondering if it would be the same effort to just reknit the swatch with a little less brain work, especially with the edge stitches being slipped every other row. I can't wrap my head about how to fix that, so frogging this section it is. Derp.

As for reading, I'm on the search for a good engrossing novel -let me know if you have any good recommendations. In the mean time I'm all about the magazines and my Real Simple came in yesterday with this beautiful dish on the cover. I wish my family would eat this healthy food. I'm the only one who eats tomatoes. I LOVE tomatoes so if I made this I would be the only one eating it. Sadface.

Let's be realistic here. I'll take screwed up knitting on vacation over no-knitting and no vacation. Life's too short and my stash is huge. I'll knit every chance I get.

What are you knitting and reading these days?
