It's Yarn Along again. Time to see what knitters are knitting and reading all around the interwebs. It's a great way to find new knitting blogs and get people to find yours too! We've been doing this a while and you can see our progress on our knitting for almost the past year!
I've been knitting the beachy raglan to try to forget the terror of the baby sweater from hell. There have been requests for me to divulge which pattern that was, but I'm not telling. I've made reviews on ravelry of the project and that was enough for me. I'm sure there will be people who disagree with me and I'm not in the mood to fight a battle on the internets about my personal experience. There are just too many trolls (especially on knitting forums -ugh).
I've bound off the body a few too many inches short. I only have two skeins of yarn left and I'm saving them for the sleeves. I might buy another skein to finish out the bottom. I might not. We'll see what happens when the sleeves are finished.
I'm glad to be knitting again. Especially as we've been enduring yet more job insecurity, which I've not been writing about because I feel like it's the same old story and I'm sick of telling it. I'm hoping that we'll get out of contract-job hell soon and end up with full time health insurance soon. Keep your fingers and toes crossed for us. We're hoping to hear back on a job next week which would be my husband's dream job. If we don't get this one who the heck knows what we're going to do. Blearg.
As for reading I'm still reading the Mistborn Trilogy by Brandon Sanderson. It's just the high fantasy escape I need right now.
